That's the number of Iraqi civilians who have met violent deaths since the United States brought freedom to them, according to John Sloboda of the Iraq Body Count project, which co-authored the report with the Oxford Research Group.
It's also the number of patients treated at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center who were wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The really horrible thing about that number is it's only the beginning.
