Lies, Damned Lies, and...

U.S. counts 3,200 terror attacks in 2004
There were nearly 3,200 terrorist attacks worldwide last year, a federal counterterrorism center said Tuesday, using a broader definition that increased fivefold the number of attacks the agency had been counting. The National Counterterrorism Center's interim director, John Brennan, called a new database that was to go online Wednesday "the most comprehensive U.S. effort to date to track terrorist incidents worldwide." But he cautioned that comparing the new tally to previous ones was comparing apples to oranges.
Last year, the State Department tried releasing false numbers that showed terror attacks had declined to a historic low, when in fact they had increased because of during Bush's War On Terror. This year, they've changed the definition so the number can't be compared to last year's, so we won't know there were more attacks as measured by the same standard as last year. There are lies, damned lies, and absolutely anything the Bush regime tells us.
Comments:
This is just like how they got the Army to fudge the latest recruiting targets, by lowering them after the fact, in order to make it look like the most recent month's targets were met when in fact they fell short yet again.
