Friday Disaster Relief Cat Blogging

I can't look at my own pets, sleeping so peacefully and comfortably, without thinking about the many pets who are homeless and, by cruel necessity, abandoned by their people in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Noah's Wish has a rescue team in New Orleans, working to local veterinarians to save as many animals as they can. The Emergency Animal Rescue Service is coordinating relief efforts with other animal welfare organizations. Give what you can.

    Awww. I see that they are catloafing for their four-legged kin on the Gulf Coast.

    The USDA is sending down veterinarian volunteers to help with farm and other animals, but they won't be covering pets as far as I know. Glad to see that Noah's Wish is on the case.
