Resolved: The Anti-Tax Crowd Uses Racism to Get Support
Think about it.
Most anti-tax sentiment is pushed by rich white people who want to get richer, and who don't care about anyone else but themselves. They may or may not be white supremacists, but they will gladly fan the flames of racism in others in order to get them to vote to kill government programs, either outright or through starving them to death by cutting taxes on the rich.
At least fifteen different studies have shown that people's willingness to pay taxes to support social programs drops off when those programs cover people whose skin color or belief system isn't the same as theirs. The Republicans know this and milk it for all it is worth.
