Steven Freeman says his exit poll analysis was accurate, consistent with fraud

Mercury Rising Freeman responds to to Russ Baker

Isn't it interesting that Steven Freeman's sources are all willing to go on the record, yet the anonymous source cited by Russ Baker is not?

Many people pooh-pooh the possibility of computerized vote fraud by saying that it would require large numbers of people to carry out. No, it wouldn't -- it just needs a few key people in key places. They can open up the GEMS software files -- just as Chuck Herrin showed us all -- and edit them, and not leave a trace behind.

That's why a paper trail is so important. Recounts are meaningless -- hell, voting itself is meaningless -- if the vote totals can be futzed with and there's no paper trail to show the actual vote.

Hand-counted paper ballots. Cheap, accurate, and leaves a record. Canada uses them, and they get their ballots counted nationwide in a matter of hours. Why can't we?
