So, who greased Gannon for entry into the White House?

Just asking.

Comments:
Good question, Charles.

Assuming that Ari Fleischer is telling the truth, it certainly wasn't him.

How long in advance did Ari announce his vacating the position of Mouth of Sauron, anyway? Would it have been around the same time that Jim "Jeff Gannon" Guckert started attending press conferences? And wasn't it announced well in advance that Scott McClellan was going to be the new Mouth of Sauron?

My guess is that Eberle went to Rove, who went to Bush, who OKed it.

Trust Ari Fleischer, Ma'am?

It goes to show how far out of Kansas we are to put "trust" in the same sentence as "Ari Fleischer."

Fleischer overlapped Gannon by something like a year. He said he stopped calling on Gannon until Eberle vouched for Gannon. So, we know that Eberle had a strong in with Fleischer.

Actually I just chose the title because of its double entendre value. I would guess there's about a 60% chance Rove had Gannon brought in, with the odds that there is some sort of sexual tie between those two or between Bush and Gannon. Nothing happens in the White House by accident.
