Our soldiers are our brothers and sisters
It's difficult to keep a balanced perspective of what is going on in Iraq. This picture reminded me that it's been too long since I mentioned aloud that the troops who serve in Iraq are our brothers and sisters.
The child in the photo was mortally wounded in an attack by the insurgency. The soldier comforting the child was doing some of the most difficult work there is in life. For every jackass breaking bottles over the heads of Iraqis passing by, there's an angel like the one above.
