Sometimes the headline says it all
RAF bombing raids tried to goad Saddam into war
Even the braindead shoud be able to understand that this means the US and UK declared war on Saddam a full year before the official invasion. The lengthy dog and pony show as US forces were built up, pretending to offer Saddam mercy if he would onless confess to having non-existent WMDs, was actually a cock and bull show meant to distract the public.

Exactly. Hell, news of the bombings had actually managed to percolate into the world press at the time, though not into America's Big Media -- which of course, was and still is in the tank with Bush when it comes to Iraq.
