Every time that killers are brought to justice, it deters future killers. Even if the justice comes late and strained too fine. In Argentina, murderers of 30,000 people walk the streets, until now with impunity. The judgement clears the way for prosecutions of officials suspected of human rights abuses during military rule between 1976 and 1983.
