More TreasonGate Myths Debunked
-- The standard conservative argument is that Rove is under legal jeopardy only via the Intelligence Identities Protection Act, a statute with a fairly high threshold of proof. But Mark Kleinman makes a good case for both Rove and Judy Miller being far more likely to be nailed under the Espionage Act, which has a much lower standard of proof. -- Another myth, which the wingnuts support by citing a Boston Globe article, holds that Plame's cover was so fragile -- because her cover job was with a company that had fairly small assets -- that her cover was probably blown long before Rove came along. Sherlock Google over at DailyKos hunted up the evidence that debunks that myth. More debunkings as they happen.
