O'Connor Resigns

It could have been worse -- it could have been Stevens. O'Connor was five years overdue to retire -- I'm surprised she didn't do it once Bush finished moving into his fancy squat back in 2001. The scary thing is that Alberto "The Geneva Conventions Are Quaint" Gonzales actually might be a step up from O'Connor -- which is why the message boards over at FreeRepublic.com, the granddaddy of websites catering to the Republican base, are currently crackling with incoherent posts denouncing Gonzales as a "liberal". That being said, here's a post from DavidNYC over at DailyKos that I think you should heed.
