Rove To America: I Think You're All A Bunch Of Frigging Morons

No, he hasn't come right out and said that in so many words. But to judge from his little "I didn't say her name!" game, he's apparently thinking it. Earth To Rove: You might want to read this little ditty --

TITLE 50, CHAPTER 15, SUBCHAPTER IV, SECTION 421 § 421. Protection of identities of certain United States undercover intelligence officers, agents, informants, and sources (a) Disclosure of information by persons having or having had access to classified information that identifies covert agent Whoever, having or having had authorized access to classified information that identifies a covert agent, intentionally discloses any information identifying such covert agent to any individual not authorized to receive classified information, knowing that the information disclosed so identifies such covert agent and that the United States is taking affirmative measures to conceal such covert agent’s intelligence relationship to the United States, shall be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both. (b) Disclosure of information by persons who learn identity of covert agents as result of having access to classified information Whoever, as a result of having authorized access to classified information, learns the identify of a covert agent and intentionally discloses any information identifying such covert agent to any individual not authorized to receive classified information, knowing that the information disclosed so identifies such covert agent and that the United States is taking affirmative measures to conceal such covert agent's intelligence relationship to the United States, shall be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.
Rove can play his name games, but he's toast. He was from the moment Cooper's July 11, 2003 e-mail fell into Fitzgerald's hands. He can grandstand to the tame media parrots all he wants, but sooner or later he's going to be making the perp walk -- unless, of course, Bush pardons him and thereby guarantees that the Democrats take back both Houses of Congress in 2006.

Oops! Here you are! ;-) A. Evans

“…but sooner or later he's going to be making the perp walk -- unless, of course, Bush pardons him…"

And I thought no one was guilty until proven innocent. : )

But if the case does make it to trial - imho it should - I think KR will likely submit: he meant to say Valerie’s nom de plume and not nom de plame … at least not knowingly.

And btw, in his defence KR can argue this administration is seemingly packed full of honchos, gringos, lawyers and military personnel who "seemingly" do not know the meaning of: life; a declaration of war; justice; democracy; war prisoners or the various meanings of the Geneva Conventions. Need I go on?

Did I mention Senators or Congressmen who seemingly are asleep at the switch? Or is it knowingly?
