Gee, Condi, Since You Phrased It That Way...

Why The Daily Show will not lack for material for the next three years:

O’Reilly: The truth of the matter is our correspondents at Fox News can’t go out for a cup of coffee in Baghdad. Rice: Bill, that’s tough. It’s tough. But what — would they have wanted to have gone out for a cup of coffee when Saddam Hussein was in power?
WOW! Amazing! I see your point totally, Condi! The same Iraqi women that are now condemned to live under veils and without schooling or much in the way of constitutional rights in the new mullahfied Iraq -- well, they may have been able to go out in public, attend universities, and get good high-paying careers when Saddam Hussein was in power, but would they have wanted to?! The same Iraqi booksellers that were murdered for daring to stock texts other than those approved by whichever gang of roaming quasi-religious thugs controls their corner of post-invasion Baghdad: They may have been able to ply their trade and live under Saddam, but would they have wanted to?! The tens of thousands of Iraqis who are now dead as a direct result of the 2003 US-led invasion: They may still have been alive and even perhaps happy under Saddam, but would they have wanted to be?! Condi, you are a genius.
