Good News! We're at War With Syria!

Well, no, it's not good news for the American people or the Syrian people or any sort of people. But for the vampires running the war machine, it's great news: GI's and Syrians in Tense Clashes on Iraqi Border By James Risen and David E. Sanger The New York Times Saturday 15 October 2005 Washington, Oct. 14 - A series of clashes in the last year between American and Syrian troops, including a prolonged firefight this summer that killed several Syrians, has raised the prospect that cross-border military operations may become a dangerous new front in the Iraq war, according to current and former military and government officials....Increasingly, officials say, Syria is to the Iraq war what Cambodia was in the Vietnam War: a sanctuary for fighters, money and supplies to flow over the border and, ultimately, a place for a shadow struggle. In an interview with CNN this week, Mr. Assad denied that there were any insurgent sanctuaries inside Syria. "There is no such safe haven or camp," he insisted. But, hey, who ya gonna believe? The guys who lied us into Iraq or some Ay-rab? (Via Truthout)

Let's see:

-- Régime that does not bow down towards PNAC

-- Régime that is secular and pays at least lip service towards improving the lot of its common people

-- Régime that Ariel Sharon would like us to smash for him, just because he can talk us into it

All they're missing is the oil.

(Oh, and nobody give me that guff about Assad and Saddam being dictators. BushCo supports guys like Pervez Musharraf and Islam Karimov, either of whom makes Assad and Saddam look good.)

Worse, Syria is an opponent of bin Laden.

Syria is an oil producer/exporter, but on the downslope

"some ay-rab"

the same "ay-rab" who supports Hezbollah, the group that blew up hundreds of marines in Beirut.

the same "ay-rab" that met the pope and proposed a united front of muslims and christians against the jews.

the same "ay-rab" whose father leveled the city of hama, murdering 20,000 civilians.

the same "ay-rab" who belongs to a political party that was modeled after the nazi party.

it's obvious to anyone who isn't a moonbat that syria is fueling the insurgency.

i laugh at your stupid musings and have no problem questioning your patriotism.

But you're not man enough to debate the issue openly, Anonymous.

So, you'll understand why I think you're the unAmerican and have complete contempt for such cowardice.

So, was that Syria or Cambodia that we're not invading and we're not at war with?

Just checking. GWB looks more and more like Nixon every day. Except Nixon was smarter, nicer, and will probably be remembered more fondly by history than our Crown Prince George will be.
