"Kitty Kevorkian" Frist Has a Hissy Fit Over Closed Session

Reuters reports:

"The United States Senate has been hijacked by the Democratic leadership," Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee said. "Never have I been slapped in the face with such an affront to the leadership of this grand institution."
From the party that sent Capitol police officers to arrest members of Congress for boycotting a committee meeting in which they were basically sent to the back of the bus; from the party that wrote legislation without even allowing the opposition party to know what's in it; from the party that rewrote the Congressional Minutes to portray Democrats as protecting sex offenders; from the party that condoned the vice president telling a ranking senator to go fuck himself; from the party that threatened to institute total one-party rule by eliminating the filibuster ... a complaint about an affront to "this grand institution" — well, words just fail me.

This is great!

There is nothing the Republican base hates more than their leaders being proven to be weak and nothing their leaders fear more than Democrats who can be strong.

Charles: A-yep.

Aside from showing the Republicans to be hypocritical little babies (shall we call a Waaaambulance for them?), and showing the Democrats to be tough on geniune national security issues, it also did this:

1) It effectively insured that all of the Rove/Bush-planned All Alito/Bird Flu All The Time got shut down, just in time for the evening news.

2) It put the spotlight firmly back on TreasonGate -- and on the GOP's foot-dragging concerning it.

Hammerin' Hank does it again!
