Stop manipulating the record, NBC! Did Bush wiretap CNN's Christiane Amanpour?
Allspinzone said that, if it is confirmed that NBC altered their transcript, every blog should headline this story.
I agree. If our media are continuing to alter reality to cover up for the Bush Administration, this is serious indeed.
Ironically, according to their own transcript, reporter James Risen said that he had not heard that Amanpour or any other journalist had been wiretapped. So, the whole point of this editing of the transcript would seem to be to pretend that the question was never asked.
So, ASZ, here's our headline.
By the way, comments at AmericaBlog are interesting. Andrea Mitchell also asked whether "some people" might not call James Risen's sources "traitors."
Sounds like she was carrying a message from someone.
Another post links Eric Margolis suggesting that wiretapping could provide profits from investing in the markets with inside information in order to fund black operations.
We need some truth.
