Betty Friedan, RIP

Betty Friedan died today, on her 85th birthday. She deserves an entire chapter in any history of 20th century America. Let us do all we can to keep the social progress she inspired from becoming history.

Comments:
I always liked Betty Fiedan. She kept up the fight for four decades, even when parts of the movement rejected some of her views and the media decided that she wasn't worth covering. That she died so soon after Coretta Scott King, about whom the same things could be said, is something to think about.

The adults of our youth are going fast. It's high time to get to work.

MEC, why not post three or four of the things about Betty Friedan that you most admired?
