Why I'm Glad Mark Dayton's Not Running Again, Reason #49565986

Mark Dayton's being an idiot again, attacking Feingold's censure resolution and generally showing why Minnesota Democrats are glad as hell he's not running again. Time to light up Dayton's phone lines and ask him: 1) if he thinks his public attacks on Feingold does anything other than make Democrats look weak and stupid, 2) if he thinks that the polls showing half of all Americans backing censure are wrong, and 3) if he thinks that John Murtha was "grandstanding" when he dared to take a stand without checking in with Nancy Pelosi first: Metro Area Office Federal Building, Suite 298 Fort Snelling, Minnesota 55111 Phone: 612-727-5220 Toll free: 888-224-9043 Fax: 612-727-5223 Washington, DC Office SR-123, Russell Office Bldg. Comments:
I agree that Dayton's being an idiot on this issue. I've called. I've written. The guy is independently wealthy and not running for office. The presidenet broke the law and has a 33 percent approval rating........

I mean, hello? What's Dayton worried about losing?

All he's losing at this point, IMO, is his integrity. What a gutless wimp.

Unfortunately, so far, Amy K. ain't a lot better. Doesn't really take an opinion on anything except that she's for American families. It took her forever to decide it was safe to say she was against invading Iraq in the first place----and she only did that when Ford Bell forced her.

She doesn't want to say much about the war.

Doesn't want to say much about choice.

It's just all safe platitudes and calculation at this point.

Will I vote for her if she's the DFL candidate against Kennedy? You bet. Will I feel enthusiastic about it?
Unless Amy K. changes into the kind of leader who says what she thinks........no, I don't think I will be.
