It's OK (But Only) If You're Republican: Misuse Of Staffers Edition

CNN's apparently all atwitter about allegations that John Conyers -- quel horreur! -- had his staffers look after his young children on occasion. Meanwhile, I don't recall CNN getting quite so exercised back when some former staffers of a white Republican, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson (R-TX), testified under oath that Hutchinson, when she was Governor of Texas, constantly hit, pinched, berated and otherwise beat up her people so much that they went around with multiple bruises most of the time. But of course, It's OK if you're a Republican.

Comments:
Interesting how the regime's strongest congressional opponents are suddenly being accused of bad things.

Obviously somebody's realized that when the Democrats have control of the House in the next session, Mr. Conyers will chair the House Judiciary Committee.

I doubt their time horizon is that long, MEC.

Without dismissing the charges against Conyers or McKinney, the media has chosen to make a major issue of what I would call a problem universal to Congress: arrogance.

Now, Conyers's district is solid. I suspect McKinney's district is wise to Republican tricks. But they may be seeking to split the white and black leadership.
