NH GOP Phone-Jamming Records Point To Bush White House
Remember the New Hampshire GOP's jamming the phones of the Democratic Party folks during the 2002 elections there? Guess what? The New Hampshire GOP was in constant contact with the Bush White House the whole time.
Key figures in a phone-jamming scheme designed to keep New Hampshire Democrats from voting in 2002 had regular contact with the White House and Republican Party as the plan was unfolding, phone records introduced in criminal court show. The records show that Bush campaign operative James Tobin, who recently was convicted in the case, made two dozen calls to the White House within a three-day period around Election Day 2002 - as the phone jamming operation was finalized, carried out and then abruptly shut down.Can you say "Karl Rove"? I knew you could. And can you say "Cheney leaked this to get back at Karl for throwing him to Fitz' tender mercies"? I knew you could say that, too.
