* Top advisors of the president have been or are in imminent danger of indictment
* The nation is trapped in a senseless and unpopular war abroad
* There are protests in the streets
* Ordinary Americans are becoming radicalized
* The value of the dollar is falling as the price of gold is skyrocketing
* The stock market is falling on fears of inflation
