Mexico update

The thirteen PRD congressmen from the state of Guerrero have decided not to recognize Calderon and have demanded that the governor of the state, Zeferino Torreblanca Galindo, recognize Lopez Obrador as president. The Governor of Zacatecas, Amalia García Medina, says she hasn't decided whether or not to recognize Lopez Obrador. In Oaxaca, violence has subsided as the government has withdrawn, leaving the APPO in charge. However, the military is in the state. The governor was prevented from giving the Independence Grito. The central government refuses to do anything sensible like, say, appoint a commission to investigate whether the corruption charges against him have any basis. Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas has criticized Lopez Obrador for daring to stand up to the fraud. Considering that a lot of people lost their lives supporting Cuauhtémoc, lives that might not have been lost if he had protested the fraud, that's pretty disgusting. The guy who was recorded engaging in the financial form of phone sex with Lebanese entrepreneur Kamel Nacif, Senator Gamboa Patron, was elected presidency of the Political Coordination Group, but without PRD support.
