Sunday Morning Pizza Blogging

Kurt, Steve Gilliard and LowerManhattanite: This is for you. Enjoy! (Note to LM: I left the knife and the silicone pizza-removal device in the picture, so you could see how small this baby is. It won't bust your diet wide open, I promise! And I made it with decent ingredients and only a touch of added salt, in the sausage.) Ingredients: One tomato, cut up and sautéed with olive oil, chopped garlic and gingerroot (for a little neo-citrusy zing). An ounce and a half of pork sausage, sautéed with olive oil, chopped garlic, gingerroot, and some original Mrs. Dash's salt-free seasoning. One-fourth of the output from my standard pizza dough recipe (which is usually 2 1/2 cups flour, 3/4 cup water, 1 tablespoon active dry yeast, 2 tablespoons olive oil). 1 cup grated Parmesano Reggiano and Dutch Gouda. One sliced mushroom. One sliced green onion. Put dough in MSR fry pan, put in tomatoes, then pork (make sure both are cooled first), then mushrooms and the white root portion of the green onions, then cheese and the chopped green tops of the green onions. This pizza was in my gullet about five minutes after I finished taking this picture. :-)

Comments:
Hell Pheonix Woman! I don't know about Steven the R&B Hater or LoLo, but that sure looks good to The Doctor's eyes. If my ex- could have whipped up Sunday morning succulents like this we might still be together.
