We're Watching You, Steny Hoyer.
Congratulations, Steny Hoyer. You kept your job. Jack Murtha didn't get it. As many of us have noted (such as here and here), the freshmen congressmembers to whom you gave money during the campaign are indebted to you for your support. That, and inertia, saved your bacon. But even though Murtha didn't get your job, he did get to do one thing: Ensure that everybody and their uncle in the House Democratic Caucus -- not to mention those of us in the Democratic base -- knew all about your history of backstabbing Pelosi on Iraq and on other issues. So now we're all watching you. You have nothing to fear, so long as you keep your knives out of Pelosi's back. But we are watching you. Do bear that in mind.
