What Were They Thinking?

From MarketWatch:

Time magazine goofed -- badly -- on Tuesday when it included former congressman Tom DeLay on a panel to discuss the candidates for its annual Time Person of the Year designation.
Tom DeLay? Are the Powers That Be at Time not aware that Tom DeLay is under indictment for money laundering? They have to be aware that Tom DeLay is the poster boy for political corruption. They obviously don't care. And I'm not even surprised that they don't care. But I'll look on the bright side. If Tom DeLay is the only Republican Time could find who's important enough, or at least familiar enough to its readers, to include in its Person of the Year panel, then the Grand Old Party is even closer to collapse than I thought.
