Alas, the Grown-Ups Are Still In Charge

Publius of Legal Fiction calls our attention to an oh-so-telling detail in the Washington Post's story about Bush's "new" plan:

As described by participants in the administration review, some staff members on the National Security Council became enamored of the idea of sending more troops to Iraq in part because it was not a key feature of Baker-Hamilton.
How many more people are going to die because the Busheviks had to tell Bush's daddy and his daddy's consigliere, "You are not the boss of me"? These are the people who proudly proclaimed, when they took the White House, "The grown-ups are in charge!" If they are grown-ups, why does everything they say sound like, "Nyah nyah nyah nyah nyah"?
