Knight-Ridder: Chertoff Delayed Katrina Action for 36 Hours

Knight-Ridder -- whose reporters have done an excellent job on the Katrina story -- reports that Mike Chertoff, not Mike Brown, was the ultimate Federal go-to guy for the critical first 36 hours of Katrina response. And he did NOTHING. So Nosferatu Chertoff should resign, too. At the very least.
