Snopes Does Katrina

The "urban legends" web site Snopes.com has a section for Hurricane Katrina. In particular, they analyze the various alleged personal accounts that have been making the email rounds. It shouldn't surprise you that the accounts of bad behavior (from ingratitude and laziness to violence) by the poorest victims of Katrina range from "undetermined, but contradicted by all other accounts" to "false".
