Miami Township, Ohio could you please secede from the Union?

I doubt Murtha is a coward. Unlike John F'n Kerry, he has actually "been there, done that" in significant combat, and has apparently had a long record of supporting the military.
On the other hand, I have no doubt at all that at this point he has fallen deep into error. Even warriors are not exempt from senile folly and/or political pressure.

A traitor? Yes, he is. Murtha is a traitor, President Bush's comments notwithstanding. For many reasons Bush cannot himself publicly acknowledge this truth.

He is both a coward and a traitor. Period.
He has provided sufficient evidence to justify both labels.

I believe he was blackmailed into doing/saying what he did.
He is without integrity. He has no principles.

From what I've heard he has a couple of purple hearts, but so does John Kerry who got his shaving so that doesn't necessarily mean much.
I like to instead just think he is an old drunk fool. A democrat.

It is my opinion, that we need to drop any sense of cordiality. The demoSCUM (and many RINOs) want our country to focus more on words, than on action. It is the reason why that the PC culture has overtaken most public discourse. If someone is a scumbag, lying, piece of crap, one shouldn't be forced call them "my colleague". Just because someone was elected to Congress, doesn't mean that they have the best interests of this country at heart (and, yes, that applies to both party members).Bottom line: Respect is earned, not given. And, unfortunately, respect can be pissed away in one act. That is what has happened to Rep Murtha. Sure he served his country; that's good. He has served in Congress for years: good.But... when you have thrown in with the likes of Nancy Piglosi and her anti-American rhetoric, you're knocked back down to zero. And rightly so.It's real simple. Most of us learned it a long time ago: actions, not words. The dems are hollow talkers. I prefer action. So, when they say that they want "this" or "that". Call 'em on it. They are all show, no go. Plain and simple.

Murtha took many years of service to America in the military and congress and threw it all out the window in a span of one week. Now he is nothing more than the November version of Cindy Sheehan, a puppet of the media to be disgarded when the holidays take over and no one cares to pay attention again.

30 years ago he would have been a traitor but today that word means little. Coward doesn't even apply. He's just a lib. See tagline.

You go out too soon without properly trained people to keep the peace there and there will be slaughtering of Iraqi citizens.
The left had also broken the will of the American people as they try to do now in Nam. As you know, those that stood with America in Nam were pretty much abandoned and they were slaughtered.
200k troops of Iraq are trained to some level of competence, when they have the ability to make a go of handling themselves, we go. Or if we are asked to leave earlier by an Iraqi President to leave, we go sooner.

Some "Heroes" become serial killers..
Some "Heroes" become traitors...
Some "Heroes" were never really heroes --- but got their "card punched" to pursue a career in politics....John Kerry comes to mind....
Benedict Arnold....Jimmy Carter...Scott Ritter.....
Hell, even a REAL warrior like Hackworth -- finally started getting most things wrong in his old age.It always amuses me, to see how selective and ill informed most leftists are when they select whom they would regard as a "military hero"....John Kerry provided another of his famous flip/flops, by declaring Murtha a true hero and patriot. Murtha was one of the Marines that Kerry once slandered by accusing us of ravaging Vietnam in the manner of Genghis Khan - raping, beheading, cutting off ears, killing every living thing in sight......I see from your profile page, that another idiot is pursuing a career in the "law".....Semper Fi

What the framers failed to anticipate was that the "executive arm" would slavishly enforce any error the judiciary chose to pass off as constitutional interpretation. Hamilton assumed that the executive would independently assess the merits of what the Supreme Court had to say, and if the Court was out of line, the executive would ignore it. If our practice were in accord with this assumption, the Court could not threaten the foundations of democracy in America. The fact that it does should not be taken as evidence of a defect in the constitutional scheme, only as the occasion for a small adjustment in our constitutional practice. We need to restore the power of the executive to determine for itself whether judicial decisions merit enforcement and to deny enforcement to those decisions that do not.
Have you ever read such a classy and well-spoked denial of the existence of the separation of powers? How the guy got through grade school, much less law school, is an indictment of the educational system.
I can't imagine how people like this will deal with Schmidt's apology and the growing inevitability of a bugout.
